Downtown El Paso's Nightlife Anchors in Three Blocks
Downtown El Paso's Nightlife Anchors in Three Blocks
The stretch of Mesa Street and Texas Avenue between the plaza and the convention center is where El Paso's post-dark life happens. Tricky Falls books touring indie acts into a beautiful restored theater. Across the way, The Garden Bar has a rooftop with the Franklin Mountains on one side and Juarez's lights on the other.
Later Later is the late-night move — a dive with a good jukebox and no pretension. For cocktails, Dead Beach Brewery turned into a bar that runs past its brewery hours. Hope and Anchor on the west side gets a different crowd and stays classy past midnight.
The border city cadence runs later than most of Texas. Two AM last call is real, and the streets feel safe with the crowds that cluster around the venues.
