Borderland BeerFest Returns Free This Saturday at DeadBeach Brewery
Saturday afternoon in the Sun City belongs to the breweries. Borderland BeerFest — free admission, always — returns April 11 to DeadBeach Brewery, pouring from craft makers across Texas, New Mexico, and California alongside food vendors, artisan booths, and live music that spills out into the parking lot well past sunset.
The festival lives or dies on the beer, and Borderland has earned its reputation by curating small-batch names you won't see at chain grocery stores — desert saisons with prickly pear, mesquite-smoked porters, hazy IPAs hopped like a New Mexico chile harvest. The food vendors keep pace: carne asada tacos, elote, and the occasional pop-up from a chef testing a new idea in public.
If you go: bring cash for vendors, walk over if you can (rideshare surges after 6 p.m.), and show up early if you want the limited pours from the smaller breweries. DeadBeach's own patio remains one of the city's best sunset spots.
